Inauguration of the Primary School Building(8th February 2026)

The inauguration of the Primary School Building of Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith, Jhargram was held on 8th February 2026 with great devotion and solemnity in the august presence of Swami Suvirananda ji Maharaj, General Secretary of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math, and Swami Sadanandaj i Maharaj, Secretary of Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama Nimpith.

The programme commenced at 11:45 AM with an opening song presented by the students, creating a serene and devotional atmosphere. This was followed by the welcome address delivered by Swami Vedapurushananda, who warmly received the distinguished guests and outlined the vision of the institution.

A brief felicitation ceremony was held, followed by the experiences shared by our students about the school. The gathering was then addressed by Swami Sadanandaji Maharaj, who thanked Ramakrishna Mission for accepting the donation of the property from Sri Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Nimpith and expressed his happiness in seeing the school becoming a reality within a short time.

The occasion was further enriched by the esteemed presence and speeches of Akanksha Bhaskar (District Magistrate of Jhargram), Chinmoyee Marandi (Sabhadhipati, Jhargram Zilla Parishad) and Shiuli Singha (Chairman of Jhargram Municipality) who conveyed their best wishes and appreciated the efforts of the institution in spreading holistic education.This was followed by the felicitation of engineers, contractors, and workers who contributed to the construction of the school building. 

  • The highlight of the programme was the Presidential Address delivered by Swami Suviranandaji Maharaj, who said that this school within 10 years will become one of the finest in the country and expressed hope that the students passing out of this institution will change the face of this backward district and achieve high laurels in various walks of life.




The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Swami Alokeshananda.




  • The ceremony was graced by the presence of 72 monks and brahmacharis from different centres of the Ramakrishna Mission, along with a large gathering of guardians and well-wishers, making the occasion truly memorable and significant in the history of the institution.
